FEDERAL SHUTDOWN – WIC UPDATE

As of October 20, Washington State WIC will provide food benefits through mid to late November. Your Lummi WIC office remains open and you are encouraged to use your benefits as usual.

We are actively monitoring the federal shutdown and the impact on WIC benefits. Your health and well-being are our top priority. In the event that WIC loses funding during the shutdown, Lummi is prepared to help our WIC families with food and formula. You can contact Tobi at WIC (360) 447-7209 if you have any questions or concerns.

The Lummi Tribal Health Center WIC office is open again after experiencing staffing shortages. Visit Tobi Dudiak in the Lummi WIC office during the below listed times.

Additionally Lummi WIC serves individuals enrolled in a federally recognized tribe. Non-tribal mothers of tribal children may also receive services during pregnancy and postpartum. You must have a medical chart at LTHC to receive Lummi WIC services; our front desk staff can help create a chart if needed.
